RingQuest

Barbershop Quartet

RingQuest is a four part a cappella group that sing in the Barbershop harmony style, better known as a "Barbershop Quartet". All four of them are also members of the Fairfax Jubil-Aires Barbershop Chorus in Fairfax, Virginia. From left to right: Bill McDonald singing Baritone, John Knueven singing bass, Roger Lemieux singing lead, and Bix Doughty singing tenor.

RingQuest got its name from two factors: first they were formed in January of 2002 for the express purpose of singing at the wedding reception of John Knueven’s daughter, Karyn (which they did in May of 2002). And so the quartet was in Quest for a Ring (wedding ring, that is!). But also, barbershop singing has a goal of singing chords so well that they "ring throughout the hall", and so they are always questing for that ringing chord.

RingQuest does predominantly great four part harmony songs in the barbershop style, but don’t be surprised if they throw in more unusual and/or funny songs! They are primarily interested in entertaining their audience with great sounding music and fun.
